A Starting
Small Project n. — a local early childhood
initiative which is dedicated to supporting and spreading
the work of Teaching Tolerance, a project of the Southern
Poverty Law Center
The CCAEYC A Starting Small
Project is dedicated to providing
teachers, caregivers, parents, and all others interested in
the education of young children with tools and ideas for
building awareness and tolerance in children.
We invite educators, caregivers, parents and all people
interested in teaching tolerance to contact us with your
questions, ideas and experiences. Ultimately, we hope
to create an ever expanding group of A Starting Small
Project: Teaching Tolerance teams who will promote
tolerance, respect, empathy and compassion in their
communities.
